People who try to shed pounds, prefer eating fruits and vegetables and drink smoothies. It is proved in an weight loss journal that some thick smoothies can boost weight loss by making you feel fuller for longer period of time and by enhancing metabolism and that’s how you will achieve your target weight.

A study mentioned in very famous weight loss journal that if you are on your weight loss mission and prefer to take low calorie drinks or smoothies in breakfast than you can boost your weight loss by drinking thick drinks.

According to the journal, they selected 30 different men and allow them to have low calorie thin (according to the density) smoothies in breakfast and the other group is allowed to have thick smoothie with 100 to 500 calories in them. After some time both the groups were asked about appetite and to their amazement the group who consumed low calorie thin shake, felt hungry while the other thick shake side was still full and energetic. And this routine was continued for a month and again people who drank thick and high calorie shakes lost more weight than the low calorie drinkers.

Two of my favourite very healthy and filling breakfast smoothie recipes are given below:

Mango Surprise

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup of mango chunks
  • ¼ cups of avocado chunks
  • ½ cup of mango juice
  • 2 tbsps. Of geek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. or brown sugar
  • ½ cup of whole milk
  • Ice cubes

Method:

Blend all these ingredients together in a blender and add 1 tsp. of grounded flaxseed and drink in breakfast. This smoothie is so much satisfying and filing. If you find it too thick try eating it with spoon. The drink has 298 calories, carbs, proteins and little of sugar, which you can eliminate if you want to.

  2. I will be buying all these ingredients tomorrow and trying it on the week-end. I will changing some things but for the most part it will be the same. I don’t like e greek yogurt so i will use regular and zero percent milk.

  3. I’ve been told you need the fat from whole milk to lose weight. Plus you need that fat to get healthy fats.
Doesn’t Greek yogurt have alot less sugar or no sugar & that’s why we’re supposed to use it? I would like to find the answers about these things. Thank you!
