I have heard a lot of people talking about how long they are going to live and some of them are predicting about it too. But how correct are those predictions are? Very difficult question, isn’t it? No, it’s not.
Brazilian physician Claudio Gil Araujo, came on the screen after analyzing this situation and he brings about a very simple and easy test to check that how many year you are going to live with your life. It’s not an actual prediction but it is about to check the flexibility of the patients and then measuring their life expectancy. The physician, especially after seeing his older patients, thought that these older people are facing difficulty in picking something up from the ground, bending their knees and moving. Which means having problems in balancing and conditions may cause severe cardiovascular problems, getting accidents, falling from the chair or not having enough power to climb the stairs even. So he decided to take some flexibility tests and to use those tests in measuring life expectancy of the people.
The test is so simple that it doesn’t require any equipment or machine and can be performed at home using your own body strength. You can ask some of your friends to note your points down. Points criteria is you have to rate yourself on a scale from 0 to 10 and every time you lose balance or use support from your hands, 1 point should be deducted.
To begin with, stand in the middle of your room, cross your feet and squat. Yes, you have to squat cross legged and once you are comfortable in a squat position with your legs crossed than sit down on the ground. Make sure you don’t use any kind of support while squatting or when you sit on the ground. Keep your hands in the air.
This test was tested by the physician in 2000 different people of age 50 to 80 and he concluded that people who scored less than 8 are more likely to live twice as double in next 6 years and people who scored less than 5 are more likely to live for next 3 years.
