2. Swelling in Joints
Another symptom that can co-occur with joint stiffness is swelling. Fluid enters the joint and this in turn makes it look puffy and swollen.
Swelling occurs more commonly in joints which bear weight like hips and knee joints and can occur in only one or both of the joints. With inflammation the onset timing is usually opposite to that of stiffness and tends to occur later in the day.
3. Tied-up Tendons
Another surprising symptom which many people don’t know is associated with arthritis is the catching up of tendons. To put it simply if it feels like the tendons are tied up it can be an early indication of arthritis.
For some individuals the feeling that their tendons are catching onto each other occurs before any pain sets in.
