12. Soothe away heartburns

Bananas are rich in alkaline, a compound that neutralizes stomach acids and helps prevent acid reflux and heart burns.

Eating two to three bananas every day is the best way to prevent GERD, acid reflux or heartburns. Bananas are highly beneficial for the health of your stomach and digestive system, so be sure to add at least one banana to your daily breakfast platter.

13. Make banana “ice-cream”

Homemade banana ice cream is the tastiest and the healthiest, and the best part is, it is also the easiest.

Just take some banana peels, and freeze them for a day. The next day, take them out and use a food processer or a blender to blend them nicely. Add in some milk or cream, and you’ll find a consistent, tasty and smooth ice crave that will fill you up and satiate your sugar buds. You can even add shredded coconuts, almonds, peanuts or even, a few tsps. of peanut butter for a crunchy topping.

14. Heal minor ailments

Banana peels are incredibly rich with anti-inflammatory agents, which makes them a wonderful remedy for healing the pain and marks caused by minor burns, sunburn, bug bites, scrapes and poison ivy.

Just take a banana peel and place it on the injury, press it a little and it will leave a cooling sensation on your skin. It will provide a great deal of relief from the pain.
