5. Spotting Blood in the Toilet

Bloody stool or urine usually occurs from haemorrhoids, however, it is also considered one of the most common symptoms of colon cancer. Research reveals that spotting blood in urine is one of the earliest signs of kidney or bladder cancer.

If you spot abnormal bleeding from any part of your body, and if the bleeding lasts for more than two days, be sure to consult your doctor and get your body thoroughly examined.

6. Changes in Lymph Nodes

Your lymph nodes are basically tiny, bean-like glands located all over the body, and they usually change due to common viruses and infections. However, certain kinds of cancers, specifically lymphoma and leukaemia, tend to make the lymph glands swell abnormally.

If you notice unexplainable swelling or a lump that lasts for more than a month, consult your doctor without any unnecessary delays.

7. Swallowing Issues

Experiencing swallowing troubles every now and then is normal and tends to disappear with several over-the-counter medicines. However, if this problem is occurring repeatedly, and it also accompanies rapid weight loss and excessive vomiting, you have something to worry about. Be sure to consult your doctor and get yourself examined for both, stomach and throat cancers.

The doctor will examine your symptoms with a barium X-ray and a detailed throat examination. A barium test requires you to consume a specific liquid that allows the doctors to view your throat on the X-ray with greater insight.
